Spring has sprung!
Spring is here in full force. Every day I notice something new popping its tiny head out of the ground. The robins are feasting on worms in the backyard. The squirrels here are quite brazen. They come right up on the deck and chill out, even with the cats watching them from the windows. The hyacinths and daffodils are blooming. The flowering trees in the area have all begun to bloom. This year I am noticing a lot of early blooming saucer Magnolias. Yesterday we planted a Dogwood tree in the front yard. My veggie seedlings are doing well. The lettuce, radishes, and arugula are the biggest out in the beds, but the spinach has sprouted as well. Inside, my tomatoes and peppers are growing rapidly and I've started some annuals as well. Yesterday I planted some more veggies out in the beds. While planting yesterday, I noticed some asparagus! YUM!
Here are some photos of the Spring progress at the house.
