Chair Revival!
Steph transferred her cold to me, so I was sick all weekend. I am starting to feel better, but not 100% yet. I've also developed a cough, which is worrisome. Anyhoo, last night I was so tired of lying around in my sickyness that I had a crazed bout of activity. I recovered the dining room chairs and made chicken soup.
Icky old covering on the left, pretty new fabric on the right. You can't tell from the picture, but the old blue velvet fabric was gross...just covered in stains. It's the curse of getting something for nothing, I suppose. I like putting my own spin on things anyway, so it's fine really. It was very easy to do. The only tools required are fabric shears, a staple gun, and a screwdriver. Next I want to redo the finish on these chairs.

Week in review...
We got quite a bit accomplished this week. We painted the living room walls and trim...
I started seeds both in the veggie beds (cooler crops like lettuce and spinach) and in my new little greenhouse...
We went to Valley View to pick out trees for the yard. We saw these crazy big koi in one of their showcase ponds. Insanity!
I planned out the garden with the landscaper. He is almost finished making the new beds and next week he will mulch. Then we will work on building a path and planting shrubs and trees.
And, of course, the cats napped away while we toiled...
