Better Bulbs

Today I replaced the last of our incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. I think the picture I took came out kind of cool looking.

It was rainy and cold today, which is why it was the perfect day to cut down the spent perennials in the flower beds! I'm so silly sometimes-- I know it was a foolish time to do it, but when I get the urge to do something, it's pretty much a given that I'm going to go out and do it right away.

We are slowly replacing our bulbs, too. I love them. Al Gore was our inspiration :)

Your inspiration wasn't Andrew? Haha. He was the one who first introduced them to me, many years back.

Since AG lives in Nashville, people here are OBSESSED with his electric bill. They publish it in the paper every month. Last year he spent $30,000 in electricity. Eek.

That's crazy. Well, I guess I should rephrase. Andrew inspired, but Al scared me into actually doing it!
