I picked up this book today. It evens includes the wild turkeys we see on our property all the time! I did some research online and I read that you should lure birds to your feeder by placing white bread soaked in water close to the feeder. Apparently it's easier for them to find. I think I'm going to try it with some old hamburger buns.

That is just like my Birds of PA book. It is by the same author. I think it is a very helpful book because the explanations are brief (one page) and the pictures are the real deal, so identification is easier. I put tiny post-a-notes on the pages of all the birds I have seen in my back yard. Some people have special bird journals where they write the date and time and type of bird. I am so glad you got the book!
It is very informative and fun. The pictures are great! Thank you for the advice. :-)
